Netflix has officially renewed The Gentlemen for Season 3, giving Guy Ritchie’s crime series another season before its second has even arrived.
The announcement came on August 24, with Netflix confirming that the story of Eddie Horniman will continue beyond the upcoming second season. Season 2 premieres September 3, 2026, making the early renewal a strong show of confidence in the series.
The Gentlemen stars Theo James as Eddie, a British aristocrat who inherits his family estate and discovers that it is tied to a large criminal operation. Kaya Scodelario stars alongside him as Susie Glass, whose family runs the cannabis business operating through the estate. Daniel Ings, Ray Winstone, Vinnie Jones and Giancarlo Esposito are among the returning cast members.
The first season arrived in March 2024 and quickly found a large audience on Netflix. It debuted at number one on Netflix’s English TV chart with 12.2 million views and remained at the top during the following weeks. That response led Netflix to order a second season, with James and Scodelario returning as Eddie and Susie.
Season 2 moves the story forward by one year. Eddie and Susie are now working within Bobby Glass’ international criminal operation, but Bobby’s increasingly questionable decisions put pressure on the partnership. The season also takes the series beyond the English countryside, with parts of the story moving into Italy.
Netflix has not revealed the story for Season 3 or announced when production will begin. Guy Ritchie is expected to remain closely involved with the series after creating, writing and directing episodes from its first two seasons.
The timing of the renewal is unusual because viewers have yet to see how Season 2 ends. Netflix has normally waited for viewership data before announcing the future of many of its shows, but The Gentlemen now has its next chapter secured before Season 2 reaches the service.
For now, attention turns to September 3, when The Gentlemen Season 2 arrives on Netflix and Eddie Horniman continues his rise through the criminal world.
