What's the Story?

Conan, Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko, and Haibara visit Professor Agasa while he's sick in the hospital. On their way home, they happen upon Detective Takagi chasing down a robber. Detective Sato arrives from another direction to execute a pincer move on the robber, who is successfully apprehended. When Detective Takagi opens his police notebook to note the time of arrest, he notices the code written there by Detective Date, who passed away in a traffic accident one year ago.
