As Dame Mary Berry turns 90, her extraordinary life and career are celebrated in a special episode of The One Show. Dame Mary takes us back to her childhood home in Bath and talks about her long career, becoming a household name as the queen of home cooking. Hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp surprise Mary in the studio by welcoming some of her celebrity friends to join her on the sofa. These include Claudia Winkleman, and Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, who have a special Bake-Off themed surprise. Masterchef judge and professional chef Monica Galetti is in charge of the birthday cake, and Michael Ball and the BBC Singers bring a musical finale by surprising her with a rendition of one of her favourite songs, specially adapted and arranged so that the words are all about Dame Mary! Finally, she receives a very special birthday wish from a member of the royal family...
