Spider-Noir follows Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a down-on-his-luck private eye in 1930s New York, drawn into a case involving club singer Cat Hardy (Li Jun Li) and mob boss Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson). The case forces Ben to consider bringing the Spider out of retirement. The show can be watched in color or black and white, the latter matching the visual style of the source comics. Nicolas Cage previously voiced the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse before taking the role in live action. The series draws heavily on 1950s gangster film style and reworks several Spider-Man villains for its setting.
